demos

a good demo should tell a story. people need to understand: what am i looking at? how is it different from what i am used to? and why should i care?

this is especially if what you are working on something that is new or unfamiliar to most people. if what you are making represents a new paradigm, people have a limited amount of context and patience to extrapolate from what is in front of them. a good demo serves as a moment of clarity, crystallizing research, context, and rationale into something readily legible and digestable - while also providing the crucial scaffolding needed to help people share in imagining together with you.
